NCW coordinated a Workshop on Gender Responsive Governance for women MLAs
The National Commission for Women (NCW) coordinated a Workshop on Gender Responsive Governance for chosen women delegates (MLAs) under the ‘She Is A Changemaker’ project, a dish India limit building system of the Commission for further developing initiative abilities of women agents at all levels.
The three-day studio has been coordinated in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh in a joint effort with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Governance (LBSNAA) and the National Gender and Child focus of LBSNAA from 22nd to 24th June 2022. During the studio, the women MLAs will be prepared on gender-responsive governance in various meetings, for example, ‘Successful Leadership’, ‘Comprehensive Governance’, ‘Outline on Gender-Based Violence with a Special Focus on Trafficking of Women and Adolescents’, ‘Gender Sensitive and Inclusive Communication’, ‘The capacity to understand people on a deeper level’, and so on. The studio is being gone to by 29 members from the territories of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
The Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel partook as Chief Guest in the debut service, today. In her debut address, she spurred the women MLAs with her important encounters and genuine models. She focused on the significance of discipline in the existence of a public delegate and said that better coordination with authorities at the grassroots level particularly the gram panchayat was critical to elevate powerful improvement to each individual of the general public. She emphasized the responsibility of the public authority and advised the members to endeavor toward, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’.
While conveying her feature address, Chairperson, NCW, Ms. Rekha Sharma said that the studio has been coordinated with the possibility of ‘Enabled Women Leadership, Empowered Democracy’. This program was conceptualized and created with a plan to advance the limited working of women pioneers, she said.
Under the ‘She Is A Changemaker’ project, the Commission has coordinated limit building program for women delegates in relationship with locale-wise preparation foundations with a means to further develop their direction, relational abilities, compelling governance, and so on. The Commission has coordinated 49 preparation clusters in eight states under which around 1700 women agents of Panchayati Raj Institutions/Urban Local Bodies have been given preparation up until this point.
