Rekha Gupta Becomes Delhi CM: Announces ₹2,500 Monthly Scheme for Women

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta: 2,500 Rupees Monthly Scheme for Women

Rekha Gupta has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi, marking the Bharatiya Janata Party’s return to power in the National Capital Region after 27 years. As the fourth woman to hold this position in Delhi, Gupta unveiled a 2,500 monthly financial assistance scheme for women, fulfilling a key election promise. Aligned with International Women’s Day on March 8, this initiative aims to enhance women’s financial independence and support household welfare.

Empowering women: monthly assistance of 2,500

In fulfillment of a major election campaign promise, honourable Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced a 2,500 monthly financial assistance scheme for the women of Delhi. Displayed in sync with International Women’s Day on March 8, the initial installment is decided to be credited to beneficiaries’ accounts. This initiative tries to provide women with economic sustenance and thereby increase their financial independence contributing to the welfare of the household.

This passed the BJP promise for 2,500 monthly support for women, as advertised in the party’s manifesto. With this, the BJP wishes to reopen to the public its concern for women’s empowerment and social welfare in the capital city of India.

A New Era for Delhi

The sweeping victory of the BJP in the Delhi Assembly elections this time, by winning 48 of the 70 seats, has opened a new chapter for governance in Delhi. The focus is going to be on inroads made by Rekha Gupta in pollution control, infrastructural growth, and improvement of public services. His administration is taking a modern approach to implementing the vision of Prime Minister Modi with respect to Delhi, thereby ensuring transparency, efficiency, and inclusiveness in governance. In these challenging times, as Delhi is said to be transformed as a whole, the introduction of the 2,500 monthly assistance scheme will surely give little impetus to empowering women and bettering the city socio-economically.
